Kilsyth was the location for a video shoot after a band returned to the town following their headling gig at C in the Park.

Less Than Sober, who hail from Ardrossan, have plenty of fans locally and have a few more now following their on-screen antics at The Coachman Hotel.

Yet the band was not the only big draw as stars of the popular BBC Scotland soap River City made themselves available to appear in the video.

This is to promote the band’s new single, Reason and features a rowing couple who get on the wrong side of the management.

The band had been looking for a more traditional-style hotel to film the video in, and C in the Park committee member Andrew Kennedy had suggested The Coachman Hotel.

Former Kilsyth Academy pupil Andrew (29), of Argyll Place, also took the photographs, depicting the band’s rock ‘n’ roll exploits at the popular Kilsyth venue.

The River City contingent was represented by Keira Lucchesi aka Stella Walker plus Frank Gallagher who plays gangland villain Lenny Murdoch.

Actor Neil Leiper whose credits include The Angel’s Share also took part in the shoot.

Queenzieburn man Johnny Rae was one of the security in the video along with friends of the band who had travelled through to act as extras.
