Scottish Government minister visits Cumbernauld College

LEARNING minister Alasdair Allan recently toured Cumbernauld College. He was invited to the town by MSP Jamie Hepburn, and viewed some of the work done by students as well as meeting senior management.

Jamie said: “I was delighted that Alasdair Allan was able to accept my invitation. We are fortunate to have such an excellent educational institution serving our community and I am very proud of its proven track record of success.”

College principal Martin McGuire added: “We were delighted to receive a visit from the minister to the college and show him the excellent facilities we have here. I am pleased he had the chance to engage with our staff and learners and hear about their experiences and learn more about our sector-leading innovative practices.”

Dr Allan added: “I was pleased to visit Cumbernauld College and meet with management, staff and students and was impressed by the level of commitment to excellence.”
