Speed limit on stretch of Cleghorn Road is reduced to 50mph
A ‘half victory’ has been won by those campaigning to make a Lanark accident blackspot safer.
As reported in recent Gazettes, there have been calls for the speed limit on the Cleghorn Road to be reduced from 60mph to 40mph following a series of accidents on the sharp bend about half a mile outside Lanark on the stretch between Laverockhall and Cleghorn Bridge.
