Teachers’ service celebrated

ALL of these happy smiling faces gathered to bid a fond farewell to three much-loved teachers at St Patrick’s Primary as the school term ended.

The retiring trio are Mrs Wilson, Mrs Tinney and Mrs Hendry, who have clocked up a combined 50 years of service at the Backbrae Street school.

All of the staff and pupils would like to wish them all a long, healthy and happy retirement.

Meanwhile, St Patrick’s business partners DHL had representatives on hand to present pupil Lara Baird, right, with the annual Excellence Award for Enterprise.

This award is in recognition of Lara’s hard work on projects during the year.

A spokesman said: “Well done Lara!”
