Ten unlocked cars targeted in Balloch

Police are warning drivers to lock their cars properly after several vehicles were broken into at the weekend in the Balloch area of Cumbernauld.

At least 10 break-ins were reported to police between the evening of Saturday, April 27, and the next morning.

Items taken included a small handheld television, a camera, an iPod, a handbag and rucksack. Police also say a vehicle was targeted in Seafar during the same period with thieves taking a handbag and personal items. Witnesses are urged to contact Cumbernauld Police Office on 01236 503 900.
