The latest Wedding of the Week is with Victoria Jeffrey and Darren Fleming
Where they met: Darren and Victoria first clapped eyes on one another when they worked in Burton in the St Enoch Centre.
The wedding: Both the ceremony and the reception took place at The Three Kings in Shieldhill, Falkirk on the gorgeously snowy day of Saturday, January 26, in a picture postcard scene.
The dress: This carefully chosen little number was by Sottero and Midgley and purchased in Lady G in Glasgow. It was blush lace and satin, strapless and very fitted with glittery sequins. It was quite a vintage look, although Victoria had wine and pink shoes by the quirky designer Irregular Choice just to bring it all up to date.
The wedding party: Bridesmaids were Victoria’s longtime best friend Carole-Ann White from Tollcross plus university pal Julie Absalom from Hatton, Aberdeenshire, although Julie actually didn’t make it because she was heavily pregnant and now has a lovely baby girl. The best man was Alastair Rennie from Abronhill, Darren’s best friend for the last 10 years. The usher was Chris Diamond from Cambuslang who is Darren’s brother-in-law.
The honeymoon: This will have to wait as real-life demands got in the way a bit. Victoria said: “We didn’t get a honeymoon because I had to be back in school on the Monday and we’re trying to decorate our flat so maybe next year we’ll get away.”
Thanks to: Victoria said: “We would like to thank both sets of parents for all their help and being great role models. We would also like to thank David, Paula, James and all of the staff at the Three Kings for making our day perfect in every way.”
