INTERNET problems affecting areas such as Craigmarloch have been discussed in the Scottish Parliament.
Labour List MSP Mark Griffin is pressing for some of the £68 million Westminster funding earmarked for improving internet services to be used locally.
People such as Craigmarloch resident Maria Murray have long complained over the quality of their services.
Now Mark has questioned housing minister Alex Neil on the subject.
Mark said: “There is a big problem, especially in areas of Cumbernauld like Craigmarloch. Both the Scottish and Westminster Governments must not forget the problems being experienced by people in urban areas like Cumbernauld, who expect a better service.
“Mr Neil thinks the money will be used in areas where the market alone is not expected to deliver. Craigmarloch falls into that bracket and I hope that it is not forgotten about or rejected.”
