LEE Graham says he had no second thoughts about joining Clyde on loan, despite some of his peers turning down the opportunity.
Bully Wee manager John Brown has complained over the last few weeks that he has been rejected by various players he sought to freshen up his squad.
But he finally managed to add to his ranks in Clyde's fight against relegation as defender Graham arrived from Dunfermline on an emergency loan until January 17 and went straight into the team for the 1-0 defeat to new league leaders Cowdenbeath on Saturday.
Graham (18) said: "John Brown and John McCormack came to see me play for the Dunfermline under-19s twice and despite playing right back in the second game they obviously liked what they saw and I got a call on Thursday.
"I had no hesitation as I want the opportunity to play first team football and the deal was done the next day.
"Everyone has been great with me and I'm already settling in, I just now need to learn everyone's name as it was a little tricky asking for the ball on Saturday.
"I'm not too familiar with the teams in this league although I do know a few players including Scott McBride who's on loan at Cowdenbeath from Dunfermline, but I have no misconceptions this will be a very tough league to play in."
Unfortunately for Graham the day belonged to McBride who scored a last minute penalty to send Danny Lennon's side top of the league.
Both teams began the game by feeling each other out and it wasn't until 21 minutes that either keeper was called into action as Callum Reidford yet again saved his team as Mark Casey lost the ball and Gareth Wardlaw danced into the area only to be denied by Reidford.
Willie McLachlan was Clyde's most serious attacking threat but from decent positions he shot wide three times as Clyde ended the half
without testing Davy Hay in the visitor's goal.
Paul McQuade shot into the side netting and then rattled a half volley off the bar as the Blue Brazil pushed at the start of the second half.
Clyde were then enforced into a change as Willie Sawyers, who will go in for surgery this week, was replaced by Steven Odenewu just six minutes into the half.
Finally on 58 minutes Hay was called into action as Robert Halliday's cross the back post was headed back across the balance of the keeper, but he pulled off a fine save to tip it over the bar.
Hay then had an easier time to save a weak Paul McLeod shot from the edge of the box.
Midfielder Connor Stevenson replaced striker Steven Howarth as it looked as if Clyde were going more defensive to hold on for a point, but it just seemed to galvanise Cowdenbeath, although Reidford kept them at bay.
Nine minutes from time Brown, who he would later claim he hadn't shown enough effort, hooked Odenewu and sent on Gary Muir.
On 82 minutes Cowdenbeath should have had a penalty as Mark Casey blocked Gareth Wardlaw's goalbound header with his arm but amazingly referee Alan Muir wasn't interested.
However, he clearly realised he'd made a mistake and in the last minute when Joe Mbu's mis-hit shot bounced up and hit Alan Lithgow on the elbow he was quick to point to the spot.
McBride stepped up and sent Reidford the wrong way for the winner.
Brown said: "I thought we deserved a point but the referee took it out of our hands.
"Odenewu was sent on to do a job and didn't follow instructions, giving 50 per cent isn't enough!"
Despite Scotland travelling to Wales for a friendly the second division is still in action as the Bully Wee travel to third placed Brechin City.
