THREE youngster from Condorrat Bowling Club have been crowned Central Area Triples Champions.

Over the last few years adult members of the local club have won various county and district honours, but on Sunday, June 21, ten junior members travelled to Abronhill Bowling Club to compete in Scottish Juvenile Bowling's Central Area Championships.

The youngsters all did themselves, and the club, proud, but special mention must go to the triples rink of Emma McPherson, Lauren Sommerville and David Lochrie, who won all five games to become area champions.

They now go forward to the National Championships at Northfield in Ayr in August.

Presidents Ronnie and Marie and the club's members are extremely proud of all the youngsters and would like to thank their adult coaches, Moira Cowie, Peter Lochrie and Susan and Iain McPherson, for their commitment, enthusiasm and time they give to the junior section.

As a mark of the quality of the junior coaches, 17-year-old Adam Lewis helped Dunbartonshire's under 25s defeat Perthshire under 25s on his debut for the county.
