Basketball girls set sights on the hoopy heights of Europe
BASKETBALL STARS; Khera Ross, Courtney McLaughlan, Shannon Mcauley and Christie Lamb.
Talented teenage basketball stars hope to be shooting for Scotland at European championships for basketball this summer – but they need your help.
Christie Lamb (15) and Shannon McCauley (14) were recently selected to play for Scotland at under-16 level.
Shooting guard Christie, from Craigmarloch, will captain the team when they play in the European championships which take place in Gibraltar, Spain, in July while Shannon, from Condorrat, will take up a centre position.
Khera Ross (14), from Westfield, will captain her team at under-15 level at the United World Games which take place in Austria in June.
And Courtney McLaughlan (17), from Cumbernauld, is a shooting guard for Scotland, and she is looking forward to competing at under-18 level in the European championships in the summer.
All the girls attend St Maurice’s High School and play for the Glasgow Rocks.
