A Croy man who made his fortune in Canada is coming home to Scotland for a very important date at Celtic Park.
Fergus McCann (73) has confirmed that he’ll finally be jetting in from his home in the United States to attend the club’s first domestic game.
And he has been tasked with unfurling the SPFL flag at the match.
The tycoon who is credited with saving the club from financial ruin was unable to attend a home match on the 20th anniversary of his takeover.
It transpires that he was called as a witness to a court case and was also recovering from an operation.
Mr McCann is entering a new phase in his life after an amicable split from his wife Elspeth.
He is also diverting his energies to his charitable foundation which has an office in Boston.
