Cumbernauld Colts will be hoping to mark their debut Lowland League season with a trophy when their under-20s take part in the Lowland/East of Scotland Under-20s League Cup final on Friday night.

Colts’ opponents will be East Kilbride with the match being played at Benburb Juniors’ New Tinto Park ground in Govan, Glasgow.

The Cumbernauld side qualified for the last four as runners-up in a group containing BSC Glasgow, Spartans, Edusport Academy and Preston Athletic before defeating Lothian Thistle HV 3-1 in the semi-final at Dalkeith.

It will be the sides’ third meeting this season. East Kilbride were 2-1 winners when they visited Broadwood on league duty in September but Colts turned the tables with a 4-0 success at the K Park in January.

Kick-off on Friday is 7.45pm and admission will be £5 for adults and £3 for concessions.
