Cumbernauld girl is world champion at aged nine!

AN amazing nine year old girl from Cumbernauld has been named a world Tae-Kwon-Do champion after beating all comers in her age group at a tournament in Coventry.

Small-but-powerful Lucy Buchanan who lives in Kildrum’s Corbiston Way was one of the first child competitors to face a 3000 strong crowd of spectators at the city’s Skydome last month.

And the Kildrum Primary pupil who also has a British title in Kickboxing wasted no time in showing some 25 global competitors who was boss.
