RANGERS opened their programme of pre-season friendlies with a visit from Armadale Thistle on Saturday.

A fair crowd watched an entertaining match with the final result of a goal apiece being a fair reflection of the match.

Rangers had probably the best of the opening 15 minutes with newcomer Stuart Tullis from Lanark United catching the eye with some good work.
