Football hit again by wintry weather

CUMBERNAULD and Kilsyth’s football clubs were idle at the weekend because of the wintry weather.

Clyde’s away fixture against East Stirling was called off because of a snow covered pitch at Ochilview Park in Stenhousemuir (pictured). They are scheduled to play host to Elgin this weekend.

On the Junior scene Cumbernauld United’s Scottish Cup fourth-round game against Kelty in Fife was also postponed. This match is now scheduled to go ahead this Saturday, weather permitting.

The Cumbernauld United Original Supporters’ Club bus for this game will leave Cumbernauld town centre north side bus stop at 11.25 a.m. and Guy’s Meadow at 11.35 a.m.

Kilsyth Rangers’ scheduled fourth-round Scottish Cup game at Kinnoull was also called off for the second week, and there will be a further attempt to play it this week, same venue and time.
