THE new season for Kilsyth Rangers gets underway next week.

Training starts on Monday, July 9, and following on, friendly games have been been arranged.

Armadale Thistle visit Duncansfield on Saturday, July 21 followed by a visit to Carmuirs Park on Wednesday, July 25 where the opponents will be Camelon Juniors.

Campsie Black Watch will visit Duncansfield on Saturday July 28 followed by another home match versus Livingston Juniors on Saturday, August 4, with the Section League Cup starting the season in earnest on August 6/8.

The majority of last season’s squad have been retained, with the exceptions of centre forward Joe Barclay, who has opted to try his luck in the Premier league with Petershill and forward Darren Dalrymple being transferred to Armadale Thistle.

To date, new additions to the squad are goalkeeper Pennycook from Pumpherston Juniors, midfield player Mansare from St Anthony,s and forward Tullis from Lanark United. However negotiations are ongoing to bring in at least another couple of experienced players to add to the squad, who hopefully will be available for the start of the new season.
