No Premier Division football for Gers next season

Shotts Bon Accord 2 Kilsyth Rangers 1

Stagecoach West of Scotland Super League First Division

WITH this defeat to Shotts in their final league match of the season, Rangers’ faint hopes of Premier Division football next year finally ended.

And probably just as well, another season in the first division with time to build a team which could hold a place in that company may be no bad thing. Yet in last night’s game Rangers could have easily clinched the play-off position if they had a genuine striker who could have taken at least one of the many first half chances they created.

For the full match report see next week’s Cumbernauld News and Kilsyth Chronicle.
