Kilsyth Rangers’ game at St Roch’s on Saturday was called off at the last minute when the match referee decided that the pitch was unplayable.
It did not seem that way to the teams, there was no surface water and although soft, many games have gone ahead on much worse.
The game in the second round of the Central League Cup will be rescheduled for later in the season.
This Saturday Rangers are due to host Cumnock Juniors in the fifth round of the Scottish junior cup.
This will provide a real test as Cumnock are an established Premier division side with a good record in the competition.
However if Rangers can reproduce the form shown at Largs in the last round they are capable of getting a result here.
The game kicks off at 2.15pm and the visitors are expected to bring a large following which should make for a great atmosphere at the game.
Hopefully Kilsyth fans will also turn out in numbers to support their team and witness what promises to be a very exciting game.
