Cumbernauld United needed to get three league points when they met newly promoted Lesmahagow at Guy’s Meadow on Saturday and they did with some style.

At no point in this match did they look in real danger and in fact they should have won by a far greater margin.

With an unchanged line up from the previous game against Thorniewood, United produced an excellent team performance and gave their supporters much to cheer about. Two goals before the interval and another in the second half were enough to send the fans home happy and looking forward to future fixtures.
