Great catches at Woodburn Fishery

Have your say

There have been some great hatches of buzzers coming off at the fishery with dark coloured imitatives doing best – black, brown and dark grey are good.

There have been some great hatches of buzzers coming off at the fishery with dark coloured imitatives doing best – black, brown and dark grey are good.

Other good fly patterns have been the yellow dancer, ace of spades, Ally
 McCoist and the damsel nymph.

On the bait front maggot and worm are both working well.

Last week Pat Hart from Bishopbriggs took 3 for 7lbs 8oz, Rod Stewart, Lenzie, had 6 on C+R, Alan Henderson, Glasgow, 4 for 8lbs 9oz and Alan Tanner from Kirkintilloch had 1 at 2lbs.

Also doing well was Davy Cairns from Kilsyth who took a beauty of 3lbs 2oz and George McKean from Kirkintilloch had a brace weighing 4lbs.
