Glorious weather for Winter third week

THERE were two glorious days over the weekend for round three of Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club’s Winter league.

With conditions as good as it gets for this time of year it was no surprise to see so many good scores. John Williamson was top scorer with 41 points, closely followed by David Barrie, David Coyle and Robert Stewart, all on 40 points. There were 12 scores of 39, making this the highest scoring week so far.

Leading divisional scores: Group 1 – Scott Cook, Ian Currie, 39 points. Group 2 – John Williamson, 41; David Coyle, 40. Group 3 – David Barrie, Robert Stewart, 40. Group 4 – Gerry Currie, Ian Swan, 38.

A notice to all members that over the winter period works will be carried out on several fairways to try and alleviate drainage problems that we have suffered this year. This means that there may be excavation works taking place anywhere on the course. In addition to this bridge building will also be taking place. Can we ask you to take extra care around the course.
