Summer win for Gary

KILSYTH Lennox Golf Club’s summer trophy has been won by Gary Fitzpatrick with a two-round total of 134.

The scratch prize went to Hugh Nelson with two rounds of 66 and 69.

The first event in this year’s festival of golf kicked off with a more than successful open scramble. The winning team were from Tullibody, who had entered no fewer than five teams of four, and were very deserved winners of the trophy.

The final event to this year’s festival of golf is on Saturday, June 16 with an open scratch and handicap competition.

Captain’s Day is being held on June 23. Charities who will benefit from this year’s fun day will be Help for Heroes and Scottish Spina Bifida Association.
