WITH a personal best scratch score of 67, Russell Selkirk also claimed the unique double of winning both scratch and handicap for the May Medal at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club.
It was also the best of the season thus far in the first division category. Well done Russell for a remarkable double.
The first round of the May Eclectic kicked off on Wednesday, May 1 and the early front runner is Matt Armour who had a super round of 61. Brian Cant was next best on 66.
The competition was played in almost wintry conditions the best scratch score came from Hugh Nelson with 76.
On Sunday, April 28 The Thomson MCrone team took themselves back into contention in their league with a fine away victory to Palacerigg. Their next fixture is at home to Dumbarton on Sunday, May 12.
