A dip in overnight temperatures meant the first cancellation of play for Saturday, January 11 as the frosty conditions put Kilsyth Lennox Golf Course out of bounds for the day’s play.

Remarkably, Sunday proved to be a big improvement, which meant members and a large number of visitors took advantage of another kind winter’s day.

Local postman James Barrons enjoyed his best ‘round’ when he ‘posted’ 39 Stableford points in round 13 of the Winter League, and this also takes him within touching distance of the leaders in League Two.

David Boslem did likewise in League One with 34, Alf Gorden was also hot when he was in with 32. The best mover of the day was George Boyd who now shares top spot in League Four after his round of 35.
