Summer welcome at Kilsyth Lennox

On May 29 Toby McColl was the early pacesetter after the first round of the Summer Trophy at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club when he carded a season best 66.

Summer Begins! With a mixed bag in weather conditions, mainly dry with a few light showers and a strong westerly breeze made for average scoring, For the June medal placings, Gerry Currie had the best net score of the day with 66. John Cooper took the scratch medal after a count-back from Matt Currie after they both had scored 76.

June medal divisional scores: Division one – 1, Alan Nisbet, 77-8c=69; 2, Tommy Campbell, 77-8c=69; 3, John Cooper, 76-7c=69. Division two – 1, Gordon Eatherington, 77-10c=67; 2, Richard Mounsor, 84-16c=68; 3, David Russell, 84-16c=68. Division three – 1, Gerry Currie, 92-26c=66; 2, George Hendrie, 92-25c=67; 3, Daniel Beattie, 90-21c=69.
