After three rounds, this season’s May Eclectic has ten players separated by two shots going into the final round on Wednesday, May 28.
John Brady also played himself into the mix after an excellent third round net score of 68 on Wednesday, May 21. The lowest gross came from the consistent Hugh Nelson with a scratch 70.
The greens staff set the course up nicely for the final round of the Thorneycroft Trophy. Congratulations to trophy winner Gary Duff when he shot a fantastic net round of 64 to win by three shots from Alan Henderson.
The best First Class net score was by Darren Conway on a countback from Hugh Nelson when they both shot 69. Hugh won best scratch with a fabulous gross 68. John Kennedy had a season best nett 68 to win the Third Class Division.

On Sunday, May 25, the A Team kicked off their season with a comfortable home victory over Falkirk Tryst.
Palacerigg Golf Club
The gents are continuing to enjoy success in the Thomson McCrone League with a home win against Cawdor 3½ to 1½ .
The team captain from Cawdor complemented the course and the hospitality and was looking forward to playing at Palacerigg again.
The bragging rights go to the gents in the Rover Cup, which is contested by the gents and the ladies and was won by Arthur McMillan – the leading lady was Elaine Provan.
The Abronhill Rosebowl, a stableford competition, was contested by the ladies and was won by Lady Captain Evelyn Doak with 38 points, Edna Campbell was runner-up.
The ladies visited the Bonnybridge Open and had a successful day including Marie Provan finishing first silver player and overall runner-up. Congratulations to all the ladies who won prizes.
