The predicted miserable weather forecast for weekend of February 7 and 8 fortunately didn’t hamper the weekend’s play at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club.

The few blustery showers over the two days wasn’t enough to discourage the 70 plus players keen to improve their Winter League standing.

Weather permitting, there are only three weekends of play in this year’s Winter League and predicting the final placings remain wide open due to the aggressive play to those challenging for the top two places.

Top scorers over the last two days were Ian Currie and Andrew Heeps with 40 Stableford points which takes them both into contention in their relevant groups,

Overall league positions:

League One, Eric O’Neil 233, George McCallum 228.

League Two, joint leaders John Donaldson and Paul Tyrrell 231.

League Three, Robert Stewart 226, John Love 225.

League Four, joint leaders Robert Blackwood George Boyd and Ian Currie 228.
