Welcoming weather for Kilsyth Lennox qualifiers

THE first round of this year’s club championship qualifiers at Kilsyth Lennox Golf Club could not have been played in better conditions with welcoming warm weather for the last May weekend.

David Stanners and his greens staff deserve a pat on the back as they have had a difficult time with recent poor weather. The course was in great shape for the weekend tournament.

Club champion, Hugh Nelson, also complimented their work with his opening round of 70. David Hartley and David Napier also tucked in nicely on 72.

In the second division, Scott Wilson stormed into a commanding lead with a fantastic nett 62. Top of third division is Christopher McArthur on 65.
