The News and Chronicle previously reported that Lewis Johnston (12) won gold at the event after beating his opponent from Coatbridge’s Barn Boxing Club in the 52 kilos weight category.

A silver medal was awarded to 15-year-old Mark Shillinglaw in a fight which was dubbed the best of the day.

Mark, who weighs 38 kilos, narrowly lost out on the top medal on points to a boxer who is three kilos heavier than him.
