Young wrestlers bring home the medals
YOUNGSTERS of Cumbernauld's Tryst Lions Freestyle Wrestling Club have grappled their way to a haul of medals.
The group were taking part in a competition in Nottingham, where they got their hands on a number of golds.
Ross Connelly took the gold at 30 kilos, while Taylor McCann came fifth.
In the 51k category Megan Malone picked up a gold, while Gareth Jones (representing Milngavie Wrestling Club) took gold at 57k.
Lee McKeown won a silver at 63k, with Lewis Waddell (also at 63k but in a different age group) picking up a bronze medal.
Luisa O'Donnell took top place in the 74k category to win a gold medal.
Bobby McLucas also attended but was unable to compete due to injury.
Coaches David Connelly and Steven McKeown would like to congratulate all wrestlers who competed in the event.
