One of the most popular independent bands in Australia will give a performance in Cumbernauld this month.
Husband and wife Jim and Alex Paterson, also known as the BordererS, will be playing the Twa Corbies in Carbrain on July 26.
The band will be in the area as Jim originally hails from Cumbernauld but moved to Australia in 1987, where he met Alex who hails from Ireland.
Since the band formed 20 years ago they have worked with the likes of Tom Jones, the Proclaimers, Donovan and Kasey Chambers, recorded with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and twice been asked to play for the Australian prime minister.
The band last performed in Cumbernauld at the Spur Hotel in 2012.
