Art is the Cornerstone
CORNERSTONE House held an art exhibition as part of its official opening week.
Held to celebrate the completion of a four-year renovations programme, the exhibition was run in partnership with Muirfield Art Forum. On display were works by members of the Art Forum as well as paintings by Peter Howson OBE.
One of the exhibition’s organisers, Julien Crispin, commented: “This was a great showcase of Cumbernauld’s art and saw a steady number of visitors through the week. It was part of our week-long programme of events relating to our official opening. We also held a reception for every church involved in the Cornerstone project.”
Cornerstone House is used as a base by some 20 local community organisations.
