Cash handover is music to Trust’s ears

We’ve told how members of Cumbernauld Male Voice Choir involved no fewer than five local schools in their recent concert which raised a whopping £1000 for the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust.

The charity had been chosen as it had provided invaluable support to a young choir member David Crooks who had passed away, aged 25.

One of the schools that had so much fun taking part was Carbrain Primary and that was the location for the cheque presentation to the trust.

Touchingly, David’s mum and dad were able to attend the presentation as well as the concert itself - which was rounded off with a giant singalong of Do-Ray-Me!

Secretary Elsa Barclay said: “We would like to say thanks to John Seggie the conductor for organising the concert, Reverend Elinor Gordon for giving us the use of the church.”
