Kilsyth is gearing up for bumper Civic Week

THIS year's Kilsyth Civic Week will start on June 12 and preparations are well underway.

The popular events that have come to be associated with the gala will be on the calendar once more, however a fashion fun day has been added to fit the theme of Fashion Through the Ages. This will take place on Saturday, June 19.

Organisers are on the look out for people interested in taking part in either the parade or the ceremony in the park on June 12 so if you are interested contact Jean on 01236 822960 or Gordon on 01236 825278 or e-mail [email protected].

Anyone looking to advertise in the programme should also contact Jean or Gordon. A full page advert costs 60, a half page page 40 and a quarter page 30.

As a result of this year's theme, there will be an exhibition of Civic Week fashion through the years. If anyone has been involved in the Civic Party and still has their dress and would like it to be shown, Jean or Amy would be delighted to hear from you on 01236 822960.

Alternatively, it would be appreciated if you could supply a picture to be displayed.

Mannequins are needed to show off the dresses to their best advantage so if you can lend some please contact Jean.
