Natasha’s special funds day

A Cumbernauld teenage beauty queen is staging a special fun day at the town’s Royal British Legion on Sunday, August 10 – and everyone’ s invited.

Natasha Keddie has been proving she’s a born performer since her earlier school years - for example through dance - but more recently gained the title Miss Congeniality Scotland in a national beauty contest.

However she reckons her biggest success has been in fundraising efforts which tap into the local community’s generosity while allowing people to have a great deal of fun.

And the August 10 date at the Legion promises to deliver just that, with what amounts to a mini-Gala with plenty of entertainmment - stalls, a raffle, a bouncy castle and more.

The cause to benefit will be the Dean Puplett appeal, which aims to gain cash for a vital cause while also raising awareness about a form of cancer which doesn’t always get the level of attention it deserves.

Neuroblastoma is a potentially deadly condition which desperately needs all the attention it can be given.

Natasha said: “When people find out the story and realise what is involvesd they want to help – so I hope they will come along to the fun day and enjoy themselves, andv help the charity funds too.”
