Public urged to take to the stage

THE flagship event of Cumbernauld Theatre's summer season, the large-scale community play Stitch 'n' Time, will be preceded by two events designed to introduce people to the project and attract interest from potential volunteers.

The theatre will host a public meeting on Tuesday, April 6 from 7.30pm-8.30pm during which its artistic director Ed Robson and playwright Brian Miller, who wrote the script, will give an introduction to the project.

This will be followed the following evening, between 7pm-9pm, with a public reading of the play by Brian Miller, Ed Robson and the play's director Kat Harrison.

Both of these events will provide opportunities to step forward and get involved, be it auditioning or helping out behind the scenes or promoting the show online - all help is welcome.

Audition and behind the scenes sign up forms are available from the Cumbernauld Theatre Box Office.

The deadline for submission to take part is Wednesday, April 7 at 9pm.
