Cumbernauld Theatre welcomes new executive director
Cumbernauld Theatre recently appointed a new executive director, Elaine Whyte.
Coatbridge-born Elaine (35), who is based at the theatre one day a week, says her role is an “evolving job”.
“Elements of the role involve helping with general running of the organisation and capital development,” said Elaine.

Hide Ad“I am also liasing with partner organisations in the community as well as the likes of Creative Scotland and the Scottish Government.”
Mother-of-one Elaine studied urban policy at the University of Glasgow and has a varied CV, which includes working between Scotland and Brussels with the European Commission and a stint as chief executive of a charity in Glasgow which helps people with additional support needs.
