Think you can be astandout standup?

BUDDING Craig Fergusons take note - Cumbernauld Theatre is on the hunt for the next big thing in standup comedy.

The popular Comedy Café is back this Friday and anyone who thinks they have what it takes to perform will be given the chance to do just that, as compere Patrick Rolink is heading up a talent contest.

One lucky/foolhardy audience member at each show will get the opportunity to take the mic and the mickey for five minutes at each of this evening’s shows.

Pat will select the overall winner, who will be awarded a full performance slot plus a mention in the brochure in the autumn season of Comedy Café.

So if you have the talent this could be the first step on the road to becoming a household name.

There’s not much time left to apply though - you need to email [email protected] by 5pm tomorrow (Thursday February 3). The winner will be chosen at random.

Also appearing at each Comedy Café gig will be the same great line-up of new and well-known comedians local audiences have come to know and love.

Book tickets now on 01236 732887 or visit www.cumbernauldtheatre.co.uk to reserve your seats.

Tickets are £7 and restricted to over 16s only. They also sell out on a regular basis, so book first.
