Top golf tourney backed

Ross Fire Protection which supplies potentially lifesaving fire sprinklers, water mains systems and gas extinguishing systems has invested in the Deer Park Masters competition, held in Livingston with 50 pros taking part.

Proprietor Ross McVicar, who lives in Cumbernauld, said that the decision was based one both business AND pleasure - as the staff are all golf nuts.

He said: “We have played at The Deer Park Masters for the past few years and quickly recognised that it not only offered a great couple of days golf with the benefit of a professional adding that extra dimension to a game we all enjoy but that it is a superb showcase for business too – professionally organised; excellent hospitality and a top class field of competitors.”

“We decided to take the plunge and become Silver Sponsors this year taking our involvement up to the next level,” he added.
