The UK Government has now opened its claims service for the scheme and payment will be made within five working days.

Businesses must have been signed up with the scheme for at least one week before claiming, and can only claim for discounts offered on or after the date of registration.

Claims can be made once per week and businesses must select the periods they are claiming for. More than 73,000 outlets are already signed up with the scheme and registration is still possible here.
