Businesses with export potential urged to sign up for free online event

A free Government-sponsored online event with help from experts is being pitched at local businesses to encourage them to take advantage of export opportunities and to tap in to demand for local products from overseas.

It is being spearheaded by Stuart McDonald MP who is organising a series of such events in his constituency to boost business in the recovery from the pandemic .

The Scottish Nationalist is working ith the Scottish Development International and the Department for International Trade (DIT) as part of the Parliamentary Export Programme, to help local businesses access the support they need to boost their exporting potential.

The first will take place on Monday, March 8 between 3pm and 4pm via Webex.

Mr McDonald said: “Having local businesses survive and then recover from the pandemic is one of my top priorities.

" That's why I'm delighted to be hosting events that can save local jobs and give businesses in my constituency access to information, advice, and finance to sell internationally.

“I’m determined to ensure that our area does not get left behind and whatever services are available are provided here to help us get back on our feet after Covid.
