Cumbernauld B&Q spared axe
In March the company revealed it would shut down 60 of its branches across the UK, but last week a statement from the company confirmed the Cumbernauld branch would be spared for the time being.
A B&Q spokesperson said: “We have let colleagues at our Cumbernauld store know that their store is not one of the stores planned for closure this financial year.”

Hide AdB&Q’s parent company Kingfisher announced the store closures on March 31, as its annual profits had dropped by 7.5 per cent to £675 million, following a fall in sales of 1.4 per cent to £11 billion.
B&Q is the fourth largest DIY retailer in the world, and the market leader in both the UK and China.
