Great move for tools firm

A specialist tool firm with ambitious plans for growth has moved into custom-designed new premises on a two acre site in Westfield.

MST specialises in the supply of replacement undercarriage parts, rubber tracks and ground engaging tools for excavators, bulldozers and other earth moving equipment.

The move to Cumbernauld’s West Industrial Estate will enable the firm to stock a greater volume and selection of products, including more than 1,000 rubber tracks.

The town’s excellent location was a major factor in the decision to bring the firm to Cumbernauld.

MST director Alan Montgomery said: “As well as significantly increasing the range and quantity of parts we have on the ground in Scotland, the location of our new premises will ensure even faster deliveries for our customers.

“We are thrilled to be able to let our valued customers know that we are now operating from the new premises, while all orders and enquiries will be processed by the same friendly team.

The unit will provide us with the space we need as we continue to drive the business forward in Scotland. The new location boasts superb access to the motorway network via the M80 and M73, which will also help us to improve our stock and distribution processes.

A sales engineer and additional stores and workshop staff have been appointed to assist with the projected growth of the company and the firm also aims to recruit a new welder in the bucket repair shop to service Scottish customers.

MST’s Scottish division at 6 Deerdykes Rd, Cumbernauld, is welcoming partners, customers and clients to drop in and see them at the new facility.
