Kilsyth Academy and New College Lanarkshire in skills event

Pupils from Kilsyth Academy recently tried their hand at new skills during an event hosted by New College Lanarkshire.

The local youngsters were among more than 400 third and fourth year pupils from high schools across Lanarkshire who attended the Skills Show Experience at the college’s Motherwell campus.

The ‘Have a Go’ day, which was funded by WorldSkills, aimed to offer young people the chance to try something new and also promote the WorldSkills competition and the courses on offer at the college.

“We are keen to further develop our link with schools and we were thrilled that so many young people attended.”
