Since Monday, February 13 an extra three minutes has been factored into the timetable for buses travelling between the depot and Abronhill first thing in the morning. This is intended to address the issue of early buses arriving late at Abronhill.

Also beginning on Monday 13th, an extra bus has been on standby to alleviate the effect on delays due to heavy traffic as the buses return from Glasgow.

Stagecoach has also lodged its intention to overhaul the scheduling of the services, with increased resources made available, as of May 2017.

Jamie Hepburn said “Over the last few weeks a number of constituents have approached my office with a range of concerns relating to the unreliability of these services.

“I am grateful to Stagecoach for agreeing to meet with myself and Stuart McDonald MP to discuss these matters and to listen to the concerns which had been raised by commuters in the area.

“I welcome this direct action to mitigate problems.”
