Corinne Miller (33) has gained a McDonald’s Foundation Degree in Managing Business Operations, which is open to only the best restaurant managers in the country.

McDonald’s has worked closely with Manchester Metropolitan University Business School to create the foundation degree which blends academic study with on-the-job learning.

Corinne said: “I’ve been working at McDonald’s for 16 years, so when I was offered the opportunity to further my learning while earning through the McDonald’s Foundation Degree, I signed up straight away. It has really helped me hone my skills and analyse the business in such a way that I can help make short and long term improvements. It has also helped me better understand how to get the best results from my team. The course was really flexible, as timescales were planned to suit each person so I could fit it around my home and work life. I feel more confident now as the whole experience really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I have no doubt I’ll be reaping the benefits of the degree for a long time to come.”
