Exam success for Cumbernauld schoolboy
A schoolboy from Cumbernauld has chalked up Higher results that are among the best in Scotland at the age of 16.
Zuhayr Siddiki has set a new record at his school in gaining a remarkable eight A grades at Higher plus an A1 at Advanced Higher .
He is a pupil of Glasgow Academy and lives in Westerwood. Rector Peter Brodie singled him out for praise in the school newsletter to parents. He said: “We were delighted by Zuhayr’s exceptional tally of top grades. He is a very focused, hard-working and well-rounded young man, who thinks for himself.’’.
