St Helen’s Cumbernauld celebrates 40th birthday
A school that was created to accommodate the growing population of Condorrat marked its 40th birthday on an emotional day of celebration last Friday.
St Helen’s played host to Archbishop Philip Tartaglia, who concelebrated mass at nearby Our Lady and St Helen’s church.
Joining him were four other priests connected to the church including its parish priest Father Gerard Sharkey.
The day continued with a reception in the school which saw the archbishop presented with Roman coins relating to the school’s patron which date back to 325AD.
