Top marks for Balmalloch Nursery

The nursery class at Balmalloch Primary School has achieved maximum ratings in its latest Care Inspectorate report.

The report awarded its “excellent” grade in all four of the main criteria, giving the nursery full marks.

Head teacher Diane Brown said: “Everyone here is absolutely delighted.

“This achievement is the result of collaboration between staff, parents and children who have all worked together to make the nursery as good as it can be.”

Many officials, including local councillors and education convener Frank McNally, were quick to congratulate the school on this success but Diane says lots of hard work will be needed to ensure these high standards are maintained.

“Going forward the goal is obviously to keep up this standard and find ways to improve.

“I have a great team supporting me and we are always looking for ways we could provide an even better service and environment for the children in our care.”

The full report can be found on the Care Inspectorate website.

A copy is also available to view at the school.
