Cumbernauld secondary has second Covid scare

Our Lady’s High School in Cumbernauld has been linked to a Coronavirus outbreak for the second time in six weeks.

Back in September we reported how meals had to be brought into the school after the virus was traced to the campus kitchen as catering staff self-isolated.

Now it has emerged that several individuals at the school are doing likewise amidst fears infection could spread in this second incident.

A North Lanarkshire Council spokesperson said: “We are doing all we can to keep our schools open and running as normally as possible. We are working closely with NHS Lanarkshire’s Test and Protect team to ensure our staff and pupils are kept safe.”
